Pumped for God!

WindMill

By: Melanie Owens I was driving down the highway and saw a windmill. It was sitting in a field and was not spinning. I said out loud, “Lord why is the windmill not moving, the wind is blowing?” The Lord answered and said this, “My wind is blowing and some-things refuse to move.”
-
I pondered upon this. My grand-parents had a well and upon it was a windmill. The windmill was there to cause the well to pump water. I found that very fascinating as a child; it reminded me of a metal sunflower. I use to watch it purr and jingle as it twirled within the wind. At times the wind would whirl it around so quickly my heart would wait for it just to fly away; but it always stayed put!
-
... I began to think of what the Holy Spirit said to me… “My wind is blowing and some-things refuse to move.” I thought of the windmill on my grand-parents farm…I don’t remember it ever sitting still for long, it was always in motion.

Beloved the windmill is like the Holy Spirit within our lives. He positions himself over our pumps and causes them to produce. As He spins we pump more water. He is always in motion and causing us to climb higher. The living water of our God is what He draws out! Out of our belly flows living water. …He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. (John 7: 38) AMP

There may be times we feel as if there is nothing going on. We are not moving fast enough or at all. Remember that the windmill is always in motion wither it be slow or fast…the wind is moving! I encourage you today not to look at the speed of thing but to rest in the promise of what is said. God knows what is up ahead and best for our lives. Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand. (Proverbs 19: 21) AMP

…But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Isaiah 40: 31) AMP
